I'm not sure what i'm doing but i'm trying out to be a blogger. Hopefully by being a blogger i could improve on my writing skills if i have any. Any way this is a good chance to express myself on anything.... sports, daily life, entertainment, politics .... maybe not ( i might be arrested in cyberspace), general things ... anything at all.
Sports ... of course football is my game. But not malaysian football. I used to be a strong supporter of Pahang but with all the frustrating nature of our malaysian football, we will never get anywhere. The reason for a lot of malaysian supporting english clubs is that they dont get frustrated. Everything is well organised and the running of the league is smooth. Unlike our malaysian football where almost after every meeting, there will be someting new ... new schedule, new format, new rulings, new methods, new coaches, new players, everything new BUT there is nothing new in malaysian football standard. It has not improved but getting worse.
We malaysian can say whatever we want but our football standard will never change. Various parties including the minister of sports (past, present and future) have and will comment and advise and even consider giving all kinds of support, nothing has and will happen to our malaysian football.
Be patient, people say, but we have been patient enough since 1989 where our malaysian football turned semi-pro. Nothing has improved except the salaries of the players, i mean the figures but problems of non payment of salary, kwsp seems to be her to stay. Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) seems to overlook this problem.
The cost of running a team is extremely high and yet FAM insist that teams play under floodlights. Those days we have games played at 4.45pm and this will definitely save the cost of floodlights. Teams that cannot afford to play at night should be given the choice to play in the afternoon. The conditions of the stadiums are also questionable. Poor maintenance and maybe lack of fund must be the cause. Maybe the FA's have not been paying or contributing to the welfare of these stadiums. Imagine the stadium board have to bear all the cost of electricity and everything, but no payment from the FA's. Some stadium can't even afford to repair toilets, seats and other facilities of the stadium because of lack of fund. Everything starts with the team, if the team does well then the crowd will turn up and with good turn ups, good income to the FA's.
What can we do to improve Malaysian football? Maybe just pray, that's all we can do and looking by the standard of our Malaysian football, we have to pray hard....really HARD.
